Can this online test diagnose astigmatism?
No. This is a screening tool only. It can highlight possible signs of astigmatism, but it cannot confirm a diagnosis. Accurate assessment requires corneal mapping and optical imaging performed at EuroEyes London.
Why do some lines look darker or blurrier?
When certain lines appear darker, doubled or distorted, it may indicate irregular curvature of the cornea, a common feature of astigmatism. However, lighting, screen type and viewing distance can also influence the appearance.
Should I take the test with both eyes or one at a time?
For the most accurate experience, cover one eye at a time and focus on the center of each image. Repeat with the other eye. If the results differ between eyes, it may be worth scheduling a full diagnostic exam.
What if every line looks the same to me?
That’s usually a good sign, but it doesn’t rule out astigmatism completely. Mild or moderate astigmatism may not be noticeable on home tests. Only clinical testing, including topography and aberrometry, can confirm your true refractive status.
