Terms and Conditions

All payments are payable in advance and can either be VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Switch, direct debit, bank draft or a combination thereof. There is no VAT on medical procedures. LEC London reserves the right to refuse service in the case of medical unsuitability or failure to make payment.

Fees for off-site examinations or tests (endothelial cell counts, retinal examinations, orthoptist fees, post-operative optometric exams, etc) are payable to the health care professional carrying out the service.

Deposit and Refund Policy: A £500 deposit is required at the time of booking your procedure – if an Ophthalmic Exam has not been performed, the deposit is fully refundable if the patient or ophthalmologist elects not to pursue treatment. After an Ophthalmic Exam has been performed, half the deposit is refundable if the patient elects not to pursue treatment and the full deposit is refundable if the ophthalmologist elects not to pursue treatment. Following a consent appointment with the ophthalmologist, the deposit is non-refundable. We request you give us 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations. Cancellations made after this time may incur a fee.

Surgery Fees

Your pre-operative assessment will ascertain which treatment you are suitable for. Current prices can be found here Best London Prices For Vision Correction | EuroEyes. This fee includes the standard Initial Screening, Ophthalmic Examination, Surgeon Consultation, Surgery, and postoperative services relating to your procedure for up to one year following your treatment.

Should we find at your Initial Screening or Ophthalmic Examination that you require therapeutic care or optimisation of the health of your eyes, additional appointments may be necessary, which will be charged at the nominal fee of £125 per appointment.

Postoperative services include:

  • All visits at LEC London within the first year, including the standard assessments at one day, One week, one month, and one year after surgery, plus any additional visits if required. We refer to this as the surgical follow-up period. If you require postoperative appointments at another clinic (either within or outside of the UK), any charges are not covered by LEC London.
  • The supply of all routine eye drops, medications, and artificial tears, stocked within our pharmacy, for twelve months after the procedure. This excludes medicines, tests, examinations and scans that are not directly related to laser eye surgery. Please note, we do not post artificial tears and medicated drops outside of the UK. Artificial tear products are however over-the-counter and generally obtainable from pharmacies and drug stores.
  • Provision of temporary spectacles (excluding varifocal or bifocals), should they be required, either by changing the lenses in your existing frames (excluding supra or rimless frames) or by providing a generic frame. Please note that LEC London is not liable for any costs associated with damage to spectacles sent to us or received by us in the post.
  • An enhancement treatment if indicated during the surgical follow-up period. In virtually every case it is possible to determine if an enhancement will be needed during the surgical follow-up period of one year because the vast majority of the healing is reached within a few months. In cases where we need to monitor the refractive stability of the eye beyond one year after surgery, the enhancement procedure itself will be delayed until such time as stability has been demonstrated.

The enhancement will still be covered by the initial fee for a period of up to two years as we want to achieve the best possible outcome we can. If a simple laser refractive enhancement is needed in the years that follow, we charge a nominal enhancement fee as a courtesy to our former patients (currently £2,000). If you have had further eye surgery elsewhere in between, then depending on the type of surgery, the charges may be different. Following any enhancement, the same postoperative services will be provided as after a primary procedure. Whereas the vast majority of our patients (95%) will have a routine recovery and require a standard number of checks, some may recover more slowly. It is important that you consider this regarding the timing of your surgery so that you could be available for additional postoperative examinations if needed. If further treatment is required, for example, Intraocular Lens or Cataract Surgery, this is treated as a separate procedure and charged accordingly.
