FAQ's
Do I need to travel in advance of my surgery appointment?
We recommend arriving at least one full day before your consultation or surgery to allow for checks and to ensure you’re rested. This helps reduce travel-stress and gives you time to acclimatise.
What support does EuroEyes offer for international or out-of-region patients?
EuroEyes can help with arranging airport transfers, recommending local accommodation, and providing pre-op and post-op instructions remotely. We also assist with scheduling follow-ups in your home area if needed.
Will travel affect the recovery process?
Long journeys can cause dry eyes or mild discomfort, so we advise using lubricating eye drops and resting after travel. Avoid strenuous activity for 24-48 hours. Follow the aftercare plan provided to minimise risks.
What documents or medical records should I bring?
Bring your most recent eye prescription, existing glasses/contact lens info, any relevant medical records (e.g. diabetic management), and a list of current medications. This ensures our team has all the information needed.
What are the costs and logistics of staying in London?
Costs will depend on your travel style; hotel, meals, transport. We suggest booking accommodation close to EuroEyes London to reduce commuting. We can share recommended hotels and approximate nightly prices.
How are post-operative check-ups handled if I go home abroad or far away?
EuroEyes provides detailed aftercare instructions and can communicate remotely (video or phone). We also coordinate with local optometrists or clinics for checks where required. If complications arise, you can return to London or consult a trusted local provider.
